Playa Del Carmen located in the heart of the Riviera Maya about an hour from Cancun, offering a more laidback and traditional Mexican atmosphere. Playa Del Carmen shares stunning beaches and crystal clear waters with the modern neighbouring resort of Playacar, the excellent choice for a relaxing beach holiday and scuba diving. The picturesque village offers a number of trendy cosmopolitan bars, restaurants and shops along “5th avenue” lining the white sandy beach.
The natural paradise of tropical turquoise waters and fantastic beaches of the Riviera Maya is a world away from the busy nightlife of Cancun, entertainment is mainly hotel based however the village of Playa Del Carmen is within easy reach. Riviera Maya is an ideal location for relaxing, exploring, visiting the ancient Mayan ruins and scuba diving the underwater world of the Great Meso-American Barrier Reef. Your holiday would not be complete without a visit to the theme parks of Xcaret and Xel-Ha to discover the wildlife and experience snorkelling in the underground rivers.
