Charming St. John, Antigua’s capital city, is a must to visit it has an impressive Anglican Church lively market and plenty of duty free shops. The vivid colours, sights and sounds of the Farmers Market, held every Friday and Saturday on the outskirts of town are a must; experience a place of thriving, modern Caribbean life. Browse the folk crafts and sample the brightly hued tropical fruits and you’ll begin to get a taste of Antigua’s true flavours. English Harbour has the richest collection of historic sites on the island including Nelson's Dockyard; from English Harbour you can find the best nature trail, hike the well-tended footpath up the hill to Shirley Heights, where a dramatic panoramic view will reward you. Shirley Heights is the place to be on a Sunday afternoon for the ultimate live steel and reggae band experience amongst the locals and other visitors. For more panoramic views why not climb Boggy Peak the highest point on Antigua.
