Location

Situated on the long, golden beach of Costa Dorada in the north of the island, this hotel is set back from the main road between Playa Dorada and Puerto Plata and is only a convenient five minute drive away from both. The hotel is 500 yards away from a shopping area and there are taxis available outside.

The Iberostar Costa Dorada hotel  boasts 488 stylish guestrooms and 18 junior suites. All rooms sleep 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children in either two double beds or one king size bed. Other features include private bath and shower over bath, air conditioning, ceiling fan, telephone, cable TV, mini-bar* and either a balcony or terrace. The spacious junior suites also include a cosy seating area and beautiful ocean view and are available at a supplement.

There are 4 restaurants and 5 bars at the Iberostar Costa Dorada hotel including a main buffet restaurant serving an enormous international buffet with show cooking area. A la carte menus are offered at Mexican, Brazilian and a Tropical Caribbean restaurant. One of the bars is a disco bar.

All Inclusive

This all-inclusive package at the Iberostar Costa Dorada hotel offers guests the option of dining at various buffets in the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and in addition the beach restaurant offers light fare throughout the day. For dinner, guests can make one reservation per week at each of the specialty restaurants, offering Mexican, Brazilian and other tropical cuisine within this plan. All drinks, including a selection of international beverages are included from 24-hour bar service. Mineral water, soft drinks and beer from the mini-bar, are also included. The resort bars do not serve alcoholic beverages between the hours of 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. Guests receive complimentary entry to the nightclub and Lucy´s Mini-Club programme for children. Lounge chairs, sun umbrellas and towels are complimentary for use in the pool area.

The elegant, spacious, colonial-style complex at the Iberostar Costa Dorada hotel has a sleek open-planned lobby which has a central fountain, large sculptures and cane seating. The smart bar serving the finest liquors as well as tasty tropical drinks and opens to a charming piazza-style square with wrought iron furnishings and leafy treas. There is a main restaurant offering a buffet and featuring an open kitchen, chefs-on-display centre piece. The resort boasts three other specialty restaurants, including one adjacent to the beach, and four bars are situated throughout the complex.

Guests have no shortage of things to do with the resort´s fully equipped gym and spa including Jacuzzi, massage and beauty salon, shops, boutiques and nightclub. There is also a pool area with a terrace and separate children´s pool, surrounded by expansive tropical gardens.

The resort boasts a variety of entertainment and activities, including sports, competitions, games, merengue lessons (Dominican dancing) and a boutique. In the evening, there are a host of shows, dance performances and live music. The resort also offers Lucy´s Mini-Club where children ages 3-12 can enjoy a variety of fun, supervised activities, including games, singing and painting from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The resort includes a CDC PADI Gold Palm Resort Dive Centre, which offers diving courses from beginner to instructor levels. There are also nitrox courses, local dives and night dives for those who are certified. Equipment rental, snorkel tours and courses are also available.
