Location
Located on the tip of South Ari Atoll locally called Dhiffushi which means "long uninhabited island", just 97km from Male International Airport, approximately 35 minutes by air or two and half hour ride by fast boat. The length of the island is approximately 700m, while its width is approximately 140m.
Accommodation
142 beach facing low-rise rectangular shaped individual bungalows joined by covered walkways, with terrace sitting area. All the deluxe rooms have individually controlled air-conditioning, private bath with hot water and cold water supply, bath tub, bidet, hair dryer, ceiling fan, telephones in the room and bathroom, mini bar, and colour television with cable network plus round the clock news via satellite. The hotel has 220V-240V A/C 50Hz in all sockets inside the rooms. It is not advisable to drink water from the bathroom taps.
Restaurants & Bars
Holiday Island Resort offers a variety of specialist international cuisine to suit all tastes. The Main restaurant serves a variety of buffet food from different nationalities, and guests will certainly be spoilt for choice, while the Coffee shop offers a more relaxed informal setting.
Main Restaurant
The main restaurant offers Western and Oriental cuisine with delicious buffets. This is where guests on full board, half board and bed & breakfast are served breakfast, lunch and dinner. All meals are served buffet style. Full continental European or English breakfast is available at the breakfast buffet and a wide variety of dishes Continental, Asian and Maldivian dishes are served at lunch and dinner.
Coffee shop
The place for a light lunch or an afternoon snack, in a more informal setting, decorated in a casual snack bar style and open round the clock. This restaurant serves you for your convenience. It also provides you with room service 24 hours a day. A room service menu can be found in the rooms. In addition, there are Lobster parties, seafood dinners and BBQ of fresh sea fish to be arranged upon your request.
Main Bar
Main bar is opened round the clock. During happy hour time there will be 25% discount off from all cocktails with free snacks.
Karaoke Bar
Karaoke bar opens at night at 2130hrs if there is no special event in the main bar.
Beach Bar
Beach bar is located near to the water sports centre in a beautiful spot so that you can enjoy the natural beauty of the island while you are sipping your drinks, or enjoy a cocktail as the sun sets on another perfect day.

Holiday Island is a paradise for those who love the water. Enjoy a chartered boat ride across the tropical waters. Explore the shoreline from your catamaran. Slice through the wake as you water ski the day away. At Holiday Island, there's no shortage of adventure. Guests can take a trip to a local island, relax on a scenic boat to catch a glimpse of whale sharks, reel in the big one on a guided fishing tour and make a splash with a jet ski.

Villa Diving is a PADI registered dive centre managed by multi-lingual dive professionals (English, Italian, German, French, Japanese, Dhivehi). Dive trips are organised for twice daily, morning and afternoon. Twice a week, there is a two tank dive in the morning, and always an afternoon dive. Night dives can be organised on demand. Morning dive sites can be reached after 40-60 minutes by boat, whereas afternoon dive sites after maximum 25 minutes by boat.
Close to the island are Manta Point and Whale Shark Point dives. Dives are done in drift on oceanic reefs or on “thila”, which are a sort of coral towers, very various in depth, the top can be at 5 meters or deeper, or on a wreck or in channels.
The resort is a PADI dive centre, and several PADI dive courses can be provided. Experience Programmes, such as PADI Discover Scuba and PADI Discover Scuba Diving, or for children (minimum age 8 years) PADI Bubblemaker and PADI Seal Team: from Entry Level such as PADI Scuba Diver and PADI Open Water Diver: Advance Level Courses, such as PADI Adventure Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, Emergency First Responder, Rescue Diver, various Specialty Courses, such as Shark, Drift, Night, U/W Naturalist, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Boat, Multilevel and so on. Moreover PADI Divemaster Course, to become a PADI Pro.
All training confined water dives are developed in a shallow, warm and colourful lagoon, in front of the Dive Centre.
Every Wednesday evening, a slide show is organised called “Underwater Evening”, in the Main Bar of the Resort, to introduce guests to the beauty and excitement of the underwater realm. At the end of the presentation, there is a funny quiz, with the possibility to win a free dive or a free PADI Discover Scuba.
Free dive tryouts are available to entice guests to try out the diving with no pressure to continue if its not for you.
