Location

La Source is perched in an isolated position, with a gated private drive, on the southern tip of Grenada 6 miles south west of St. George’s. The resort has direct access to Pink Gin Beach, with a 5 minute transfer time from the airport.

Accommodation

The hotel has 100 rooms arranged in three and four storey buildings, without lifts.  The rooms are havens of lavish and graceful comfort, with a colonial feel and cool marble floors. Jalousied wooden shutters rather than curtains provide shade from the dazzling Caribbean sunlight. Ceiling fans gently move the air. Hand carved mahogany furniture adds warmth, as does a 4-poster king size bed (or a choice of two double beds). The generously proportioned rooms are spacious and a private balcony or terrace offers views of the sea or wonderful gardens. Bathrooms are also spacious and luxurious with bath and shower, and a plentiful supply of necessary toiletries and robes. All Rooms have an identical layout and furnishings with air conditioning. Other amenities include international direct dial telephone, CD clock radio, 110/220 volt electrical outlets, hair dryers, mini fridge (not stocked), in-room safes, iron and ironing board.

Room categories differ by location and view. Rooms on the top floor have tropical hardwood cathedral ceilings for an even more desirable feeling of space and light.

Garden View Rooms sleep up to 3 adults, with 2 doubles or 1 king size 4 poster bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, hairdryer, mini fridge, telephone, radio, en suite marble bathroom with shower or bath and wc, balcony or patio terrace with garden view.

Luxury Ocean View Rooms are as garden view rooms with unrestricted ocean views.  Located on a hill on the first or second floor of a 3 storey building set behind the Oceanfront block.

Luxury Ocean Front Room, located in the front block, adjacent to the sea with a panoramic beach view.

Luxury Ocean View Junior Suite, located on a hill on the end of the second or third floors of a 3 storey building, set behind ocean front building with unrestricted ocean views.  These rooms have sitting room area with sofa bed and bay window.

Luxury Ocean Front Junior Suite are as Ocean View Junior Suite, adjacent to the sea with panoramic ocean view close to the main hotel.

Some Luxury Rooms have a pergola extending from the balcony.

Restaurants and Bars

LaSource’s dining temptations are irresistible.  The internationally influenced Cuisine LaSource is designed for healthy eating without sacrificing the art of good cooking. It takes its inspiration from many light & healthy contemporary fusion styles of cooking and adaptations of traditional dishes, the aim is to produce great tasting foods with an emphasis on quality ingredients, lighter textures & natural flavours.  There are actually four different restaurants to make sure your palate will never get bored.

Great House Restaurant

This is a stylishly decorated fine-dining restaurant with a high ceiling of beautiful hard-wood that gives a fresh, airy feeling. Its outdoor verandah provides a spectacular view of the town of St. George’s with its mountain range in the distance. Dinner is served ‘a la carte’ and consists of several courses that include meats and fish as well as vegetarian selections. A selection of wine is served with finer vintages available at an extra cost. All this is done with first class service in elegant surroundings.

Garden Restaurant

This refreshingly air-conditioned restaurant has large glass windows that show off lush tropical foliage. Choose from a variety of breakfast dishes including eggs cooked to order, sausages, bacon, baked beans and grilled tomatoes with daily specials like Egg Benedict. You can also enjoy Caribbean specialty dishes or go continental with a selection of breads, Danish pastries, chocolate croissants and cereals. Lots of tropical fruits include mangoes, melons, papaya and pineapple. A themed buffet of fabulous choice is served for lunch daily, and a Mediterranean dinner buffet with Asian influence is served nightly. Special diets such as vegetarian, vegan, low cholesterol and low salt are available on request to our chef.

Oscar’s Beach Bar & Restaurant

Oscar’s Beach Bar & Restaurant is ideally located right on the beach. It is made almost entirely from hard wood imported from South America. The thatched roof is constructed in the traditions of South American Indians from centuries ago. Open to the cooling breeze, Oscar’s boasts one of the resort’s most spectacular views. St. George’s sits in the distance against a background of sea and mountains.

Bar: This is a very “cool” spot to hang out during the day over a pina colada or to meet up with friends for a pre-lunch or pre-dinner cocktail and then step into the dining area for some great food and whatever takes your fancy.

Café Deli

The Café Deli is set in the resort centre in what feels like a small plaza. Two well-lit fountains create a relaxing, continental atmosphere, where guests can go at any time during the day for a coffee or a light snack, including Greek, Nicoise and Caesar salads or Panini with your choice of fillings. Try a selection of coffees, including cappuccino, espresso and café latte. Also available are healthy treats like smoothies, carrot cake, oatmeal biscuits, fruits, sandwiches and soups.

Terrace Bar & Lounge

Covered by a high, vaulted ceiling made of beautiful hardwood, the Terrace is entirely open with a view of the pools and the beach and filled with comfortable, stylish furniture. The fresh sea air encourages relaxation, gathering and enjoyment of the great cocktails served here. All bars serve a range of local, Caribbean and international drinks, including well known premium brands like Johnny Walker Black Label Whisky, Glenfiddich Single Malt Whisky, Mt. Gay Rum, Beefeater Gin and Absolute Vodka.

Piano Bar

This very stylish night-spot feels like a plush London club, with its dark wood and deep cushioned furniture. The long bar is well stocked and there is a baby grand piano and a resident pianist playing requests until the small hours of the morning. Also available at the Piano Bar are famous board games like chess, checkers and backgammon.

Sport Activities

SCUBA: Divers from all over the world come to Grenada for a superior dive experience and LeSource offers excellent diving opportunities for both certified and non-certified divers who are resort guests. The dive crew will tailor a dive holiday suitable for all levels of experience, and guests who are not certified are offered the opportunity to ‘try’ diving without going through a full certification course.  One individual dive per day is provided for certified divers who are guests at the resort.

Guests who would like to become certified divers can take advantage of the comprehensive PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certification courses. Courses from ‘Open Water’ to ‘Dive Master’, including fifteen specialties, are offered to guests.
