Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is located in the Animal Kingdom Theme Park area.

Accommodation

Enjoy grand accommodation in wonderfully recreated African themed rooms with rich colours and imported tapestries. Each room has its own private balcony some with breathtaking views of the wildlife habitats such as zebras, giraffes, etc.

Guest rooms can sleep up to a maximum of 4 guests

Savannah View: with views of the animals on the 33 acre wildlife reserve.

Water/Pool View: overlooking the resort pools.

Standard View: with views of resort grounds.

Guest Suites

Sleeping between 6 to 8 guests, the guest suites feature one or two bedrooms with kitchenette and separate lounge area. More luxurious Vice Presidential and Presidential suites are also available these have two bedrooms.

Jiko - The Cooking Place

A stylish restaurant offering African style with an American cooking blend influenced from multiple cultures from the Mediterranean, India and Europe infused with an African twist serving seafood, steak, chicken and vegetarian options. The African sunset colours give this restaurant a warm and comfortable setting.   

Boma - Flavors of Africa

Experience traditional African food from over 50 countries from the Mediterranean coast to the Indian Ocean served in an expansive and inviting buffet. Enjoy freshly prepared salads, vegetarian dishes, seafood and roasted meats.  Boma delivers a true African dining experience under a thatched roof capturing the magic with rich colours and tapestries.

The Mara

The Quick service food court at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is called The Mara featuring Savannah specialities and a selection of soup, sandwiches, salads, pizzas and burgers.

Pools

Uzima “clear water” is a feature zero depth pool with a 67 foot long water slide. For younger children there is a separate section of the pool and aqua therapy is available to guest of both ages at the Spas.

State of the art exercise equipment for the ultimate work out, book a session with a personal trainer and take advantage of the other facilities such as dry saunas and steam rooms.  A number of pampering treatments are also available from massages to facials.

Arcade

Pumbaa's Fun & Games Arcade is a high tech game room featuring classic favourites and the latest video game entertainment, located next to The Mara restaurant.

Children’s Facilities

Simba's Cub house: a club for children between the ages of 4-12 years offering a fun-filled evening of supervised activities, computer games, movies and snacks.  

Hakuna Matata Playground: 24 hour playground located next to the pool and overlooking the Flamingo area allowing children to climb, slide and have fun with “No Worries”.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Animal Programmes

Join the viewings and activities with the Animal programmes, participate in a cultural safari, watch the animals playing at dusk with night vision goggles, become a junior researcher or watch the handlers feed animals such as the pelicans and flamingos.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Safari Experiences:

Participate in a wonderful African safari experience with specially designed open air vehicles to view the majestic Savannah scenes of the wildlife. The Wanyama safari takes place at dusk or the Sunrise safari exclusive to club concierge guests is at dawn. Reservations required.

There is bus transportation available to the Theme Parks, Water Parks and Downtown Disney (extra fees may apply).
