Location

 Some 45 minutes by car west of the airport, you’ll find the small fishing village of Maimon. It’s an ideal base for excursions to the city of Puerto Plata and other interesting inland locations. All  Riu hotels are located in the picturesque cove of Maimon surrounded by fantastic landscape and right on the magnificent sandy beach.  Located on the beach in Maimon Bay in the Riu Resort, along with the other Club Hotels Riu Bachata and Riu Merengue.  The resort is 9 km / 5.5 miles from Puerto Plata and 25 km / 15.5 miles from Puerto Plata Int’l. Airport it is also 500 m / 1650 ft. from a bus stop.
